Imabari students visited Lakeland

Thirteen high school students and three adult chaperones had a great trip to Lakeland from August 8th to 18th in 2008.
On the first day of their tour they enjoyed visiting Lakeland downtown, such as Lakeland city hall, Hollis Gardens, Polk Art Museum, Lakeland Police Department and so on.
They also visited Kennedy Space Center, Disney World, the Atlantic Ocean, Fort Desoto, Prime Outlets and the flea market.
The one of the highlight of their stay was visiting to Santa Fe High School where Imabari delegates had an opportunity to show the performance of kendo, calligraphy and origami .
They were very happy to be able to introduce Japanese culture to the students of Santa Fe High school. Although the schedule was quite busy, but actually deserves. Imabari students learned a lot from their precious experiences.
On the last day, it was very difficult to say good-bye to their wonderful host families and new friends after having the unforgettable stay.
