Lakeland is located in the middle of the Florida Peninsula. 30 minutes from Tampa. Less than an hour from Orlando. 50 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. 100 miles from the Atlantic Ocean. Midway between Key West and the Georgia state line. Disney World, Universal Studio in Orlando and the NASA Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral are within easy access.

Lakeland is about 134 square kilometers in area, 216 feet above sea level, the highest point on the Florida Peninsula. As the name, Lakeland, shows, there are a lot of lakes dotted about and various animals such as alligators, swans, black-swans, ducks and even alligators can be found there.
